Of happy things

Happy New Year to all! 2011, like most years, has been eventful. Many things happened - both good and bad, and emotions like a rollercoaster. Felt like I was going mad and all that jazz. Anyway, thank you for all who stayed with me through it all. And made 2011 bearable and lovely all the same.

Bali in April with the Kay, Wind, Angel and Jhonny - 'twas a good trip. We did many activities which included scuba diving, and water rafting. We also caught the sunset on most days, and they were breathtaking! :) Enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.
Phuket in July with the Kay again, and Joey. Spontaneous fun!! Although Phuket greeted us with gloomy weather the first day, we managed to go out to sea the next couple of days. Went snorkeling and island hopping. Loved every bit of Thailand....minus the transport.
Indonesia for Angel's engagement party. Took a plane out right after my last paper and boy it was amazingly grand. Nothing short of perfect. Food was good, people were gorgeous, everything was pretty like a dream wedding.

06.12.2011: Staycation(stay-vacation) at Ritz Carlton for Angel's wedding. It was gorgeous and the food was good(again). The bridesmaid speech by the Kay was very touching to say the least :) She did a great job! Our surprise gift for her was an iPad with her videos and photos which we gave to her at the after party at One Altitude.

I achieved my first A for Bahasa Indonesia. Very happy!!!!!!!!!!

Macau for D's wedding. Have been excited for too long. B sent me to the airport, had lunch, checked in, fast forward, landed in Macau, met D's grandparents, aunt and cousin. Took a long time to clear the customs (2 queues for foreigners if I remember correctly). Food there is superb!!!!!!!!!! I remember having pigeon meat. Shopping and massage was all we did.
25.12.2011: Met lots of old friends there and good food again! They set off firecrackers after that! Macau the next day for The House of Dancing Water, and Hong Kong the day after for shopping. More shopping back in China, massage, food, drinks, final catch up at D's place then back to SG land.

First week of school this week, but as with all my previous semesters and years, I have never attended week 1's lectures. Good news on the other hand is, I've got my 5 modules in, and I have finally gotten down to calculating what modules I need or lack. So this semester, I am on LAB2201 Bahasa Indo 2, IS2103, IS3243, IS3241, and my first gem GEK1527. To more luck and perseverance, more A's, more determined, more hardworking..... No these are not my new year resolution.

My new year resolution is to be more focused, and maybe aim for one more A.  

Midnight muse

In the midst of my finals again for Year 3 Sem 1, last paper on Weds but I always manage to distract myself whenever I should be studying. Well, let's just say everything else is a distraction.

Thoughts in my head in no particular order:
Been excited for the trip to Macau, China in December. As well as the 3 weddings I will be attending.

Much has happened since the last time I wrote, but as you grow older, you will learn, accept and grow from it guess. Or maybe not. You just succumb to life.

I just read my old entries from Wordpress. I miss my writing mo-jo a lot.
And I read, I miss my sister too much.. Maybe I took her for granted when she was still staying with us.
I miss her so much but why does it matter?

Marriage is an evil thing. I mean, she's changed to be someone I don't really know and their (sis&bro) relationship with Mom. Maybe Mom is the one with the problem but after all, being filial and respectful is the least to ask for in our traditional Asian family. After so many years, I thought everything will be alright.

The saddest part is that I felt I lost her totally. It breaks my heart so much because she would be the one who irritates me the most (in the room) whether I'm asleep or not, talks to me, listens to me, care for me, bring me out to eat and shop and even paint my nails while I'm in deep slumber. I miss you, I miss you, I miss you. Crying my heart out as I was typing and thinking of us. Such a random sad fact but true story.

I shall end it here as I exhausted all my energy running through my mind, trying to save what's left of us. Good night! xx

What do you take for granted?

Eventful May

The last day of my finals for Year 2 Sem 2 was on a Saturday, CS2102 (Database Systems).

I really like that particular module a lot but fate had to have it that the motorcyclist, student from NUS whom I presume was also going for a 1pm paper, self skidded right in front of my car very near to the Clementi Road exit on AYE. Yes, I saw everything that happened. I could almost see his life flashing in front of him, and I was shaking from shock and horror.. 

So anyway, 90% of the time during the exam, my mind ran through what happened and I blanked out or missed out on the crux of questions I knew I could do. But I just couldn't focus. Sad and traumatizing at the same time.

Next, may birthdays! Joey's birthday dinner was after the paper. They went to Universal Studios (USS) before dinner but we met up for dinner at VivoCity :) Dinner was a spread ;) After which we went to Alps for awhile slightly after 12 for a drink.

Following close was Kayly's at Wanderlust! (Sounds very hum sup, but promise you it is not at all :)) Very chic boutique hotel but room a tad too tiny for 10 over of us.
Security was anal as usual, we had to leave by 11pm so Pot and I left first 'cause we were too tired to drink (within limit) and drive.

New but old beginnings

Back from the longest hiatus I've had from the blogger world, thanks to all inspiring people.
Old address, new content. Don't really know what to expect because I've lost touch with blogging for a very long time. I plan to write about random stuff, and of course, I hope to include more pictures.

Anyway, the weather has been pretty erratic these days, we planned for a picnic later today but guess what? It's pouring outside and I don't really like this feeling. (Mom's away for her holiday in Guilin, China, the other folks are out at work plus I rejected Dad's request for money. Why me? I hate doing that, but I have to.)

Just went to Sis's new place at Fernvale yesterday, gonna dream of my own :)

I shall go back to nap awhile, and sleep on the rain. Hopefully Mom calls me soon!
